It is a great honor to be principal at Monroe Elementary School. We have a tremendous staff working at Monroe Elementary. I am confident in their abilities to provide a superb education for all of our students. Our school Mission Statement is “Inspiring Learning for All” and our Vision Statement is “Living the Husky Way Every Day.” The Husky Way is about being responsible, respectful and being safe.
Prior to being the principal at Monroe, I was the principal at Desert School for four years, which is a K-8 building in Wamsutter, WY. I was a K-12 Spanish teacher in Sundance Wyoming for five years. I grew up in Coeur d’ Alene and Salmon Idaho and received my bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho and my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from South Dakota State University.
We love the community of Green River and are happy to be raising our three small children in this community. I love to help students foster a love for learning that they might be lifelong learners. Please reach out to me if I can be of any service.
Monroe Elementary is home to 310 students in grades K-5. Sixty-one dedicated staff members and a network of supportive parents together support the growth and development of our students. Monroe is the only site for the district’s K-5 English Language Learners program.
