Dear Parents/ Guardians,

I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! I will be teaching your child a variety of skills including but not limited to, language arts, math, science, social studies, social skills, and responsibility. These skills are essential for your child to have a successful year and future.

Each student will be given a school planner, this is an excellent way to practice organization. I expect that the planners are brought to class and written in every day. Students are expected to fill out their planners before they begin working on their homework.

I have the highest expectations for all of my students. I expect my students to give 100% effort on all of their assignments and projects. My goal for this year is to have my students leave 6th Grade with a love of learning and eagerness to learn more!

As a core, we will be implementing several project-based learning activities throughout the year in and outside of the classroom. These activities allow students to be exposed to real-world problems and will foster an environment where students will be expected to think critically, collaborate, communicate, learn global perspectives, and be creative!

I have an open door policy for all my students and parents. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Also, please let me know if you are interested in volunteering in our classroom, we would love to have you!

Thank you,

Mrs. Conder
